Registration for Summer 2015 Taglit-Birthright Israel trips is now open! Created for young adults ages 18-26, Birthright Israel shows you the best of Israel and keeps the excitement going when you come home. You’ll fly from L.A. for free and spend 10 days discovering Israel’s rich history, landmarks, people and culture with peers from Orange County. Discover new meaning in your personal Jewish identity and build your connection to Jewish history and culture. Choose from one of 2 OC trips departing this summer: 1. The OC Way trip is for participants ages 22-26 from Orange County. The trip, departing from LAX, is from June 21 to July 1 and includes Israeli soldiers as participants on the trip for all 10 days! Uprising In The Arab World: A Symposium Explore the current situation in the Arab world and reverberations felt throughout the world. The Rose Project of JFFS sponsored 2014-15 Schusterman Visiting Israel Professor, Professor Mohammed Wattad, will speak along with Congressman Ed Royce, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Professor Scott Spitzer, Associate Professor of Political Science at California State University, Fullerton. This is a non-sectarian symposium offered to the community as an educational opportunity. Each speaker will present their views followed by questions from the audience.
