Connections: The e-Newsletter of JFFS - April 27, 2016

Connections - the e-newsletter of Jewish Federatin & Family Services

Celebrate Israel – presented by JFFS and the Merage JCC – is thrilled to showcase a modern dance collaboration featuring renowned choreographers Idan Cohen of Israel and Chad Michael Hall of UC Irvine. The unique partnership between UCI and the Idan Cohen Dance Company is now entering its 4th year. It began with Idan Cohen and Noah Shiloh, one of his solo dancers, teaching courses on the UCI campus and masters classes in the community, and has included extraordinary shared performances over the past few years. As a result of the cooperative relationship cemented between UCI and the Idan Cohen Dance Company, a number of UCI dance students have traveled to Israel to audition and perform. The Rose Project of JFFS helped to facilitate the collaboration. The funds making possible the larger Celebrate Israel event, as well as the dance performance and UCI residency, are from the JFFS Connect 2 Israel Initiative.
