This Hanukkah, we are proud to share stories of people whose lives you have touched through your support of Jewish Federation & Family Services. These stories - real stories of real people - illustrate the impact of your charitable partnership with JFFS. Together, we do the extraordinary: caring for aging Holocaust survivors, helping people to overcome disabilities, extending lifelines to neighbors in need, educating young leaders, building community and, so much more. Please share these stories with family and friends - tonight and all year long! |

Marilyn came to Jewish Federation & Family Services for help with family expenses several months ago. More recently she started receiving services in the counseling department. With Hanukkah coming she began to worry about how she was going to provide gifts for her three little children, all under the age of 8. The eldest, a seven year old, said, “Mommy, don’t worry, we don’t need anything.” Marilyn told this to her therapist, tearing up in the session. JFFS’s Adopt a Family made Hanukkah believable for this family. |

The Adopt a Family program allows our community to reach out and directly help families and individuals to have a happier holiday season. During major holidays, your donations allow us to provide gift cards for food, gas and clothing. We also take donations for Thanksgiving dinner and holiday gifts for families who would not be able to afford these holiday extras without our help. |
Tonight, after lighting the candles and before sharing gifts, consider how your generous support of Jewish Federation & Family Services transforms our community this season and throughout the year. Make this Festival of Lights a Festival of Giving. |

Happy Hanukkah from all of us at JFFS! | |
P.S. If you have not yet made your 2014 charitable donation to JFFS, isn't this a good time? If you have already made your 2014 pledge to JFFS, please consider a special year-end gift, so that we can provide more services to more people. |
