JPAC Priority Legislation

Since 2019, the Jewish Public Affairs Committee (JPAC) has successfully secured over $300 million from the California state budget to support a wide range of community projects. These include enhancing security initiatives, rebuilding Jewish summer camps affected by wildfires, expanding Holocaust education programs, and providing essential resources for seniors, immigrants, and individuals facing food insecurity. JPAC has been instrumental in passing critical legislation to combat antisemitism and hate, while also advancing mental health, anti-poverty, and anti-hunger initiatives, and supporting immigrants and older adults. Additionally, JPAC led the advocacy to remove antisemitic content from the state’s ethnic studies curriculum.

Working closely with the Legislative Jewish Caucus and other allies in the California State Legislature, JPAC focuses on advancing core Jewish community issues and values. Their annual policy priorities consist of bills and budget requests that address security concerns, discrimination, and the need for critical social services.

JPAC leverages the collective strength of the Jewish community to help create a better world, not only for themselves but for all vulnerable populations across California.
