A Glimpse Into LGBTQ+ Life in Israel with Gil Hovav with Gil Hovav
(in-person event - $18; free to CSP members) - Includes lunch

Join us for a candid discussion about life, love, and acceptance in Israel with none other than the nation's leading culinary journalist (who also happens to be the great-grandson of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda), Gil Hovav. Over the past 30 years, Gil has lived through and witnessed the profound changes in attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community in what has become one of the world's most gay-friendly nations. The story of Israel's acceptance and the challenges still faced by its LGBTQ+ community is compelling, to say the least. But hearing it firsthand from someone as charismatic and insightful as Gil is an experience not to be missed.

At our exclusive event, Gil will:

Share his personal coming-out story.
Reflect upon his experiences of being gay in the Israeli military.
Offer insights into his enduring partnership with Dan and their shared joys of gay parenting.

Our event promises not just to be enlightening, but also interactive. After Gil's talk, we're thrilled to host a lively Q&A session. It's an opportunity to engage, learn, and understand the nuances of the LGBTQ+ experience in Israel.
