7:00 p.m. Latin/Sephardic Shabbat Alive services led by Rabbi Rachlis and Cantor Braier. Don’t miss this incredibly exciting and rhythmic service with music from the Caribbean, Brazil, Argentina and Spain; from Sephardic music to Salsa and from Tango to Samba.
8:15 p.m. Actress Annie Korzen (of “Seinfeld” fame) will perform “Tales From The Mouth: Comedies of Errors,” an engaging evening of laughs, tears and constructive criticism from Annie Korzen. She was the recurring Doris Klompus on Seinfeld. Called “a born storyteller” by the Associated Press. Annie is an artist-in-residence at Jewish Women's Theater of Los Angeles. She teaches storytelling and can be heard on The Moth Radio Hour (“Hilarious and heartfelt!” ~ Sara Austen Jenness, Producing Director, The Moth), has performed her solo shows on three continents, has done humorous essays for NPR’s Morning Edition, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times (“Life affirming and entertaining. A real charmer!” ~ LA Times Critics’ Choice) and is the author of Bargain Junkie: Living the Good Life on the Cheap (which will be available after she performs).
