“Rage, Anxiety And Identity Politics In America Today” will be the theme of Shabbat services led by Rabbi Rachlis and Cantor Braier. Two members of University Synagogue who have written recent books on Donald Trump will dialogue with Rabbi Rachlis on the alt-right, gender politics, racism, anti-Semitism, Hillary Clinton’s failure to win, and white working-class anger on Dr. Martin Luther King Shabbat. Dr. Jackson Katz is the author of “Man Enough? Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and the Politics of Presidential Masculinity” and Dr. Kevin O’Leary is the author of “Trump and the Roots of Rage: The Republican Right and the Authoritarian Threat.” We will also remember, before Kaddish, those victims of the Holocaust whose yahrzeit dates are unknown but who are remembered each year, around the world, on the 10th of Tevet, known as “General Kaddish Day/Yom Hakaddish Haklalli.”
