Thanksgiving is a day for being grateful for what you have and think about giving back to others. In the spirit of gratitude and Tikkun Olam, NextGen is partnering with Temple Beth Sholom's Mitzvah Meals! Our volunteers will be chopping, sautéing, mixing, and doing a variety of other cooking tasks and helping to load up the meals for delivery. After we finishing cooking and loading meals, we will meet at a local restaurant for lunch.
TBS Mitzvah Meals program currently provides sustenance for approximately 1200 underserved men, women and children in our community every month. They prepare nourishing, tasty meals in the TBS temple kitchen every Sunday. They prepare and serve food for Orange County Rescue Mission, Casa Teresa, Isaiah House and Southwest Community Center. TBS Mitzvah Meals delivers food to Wise Place, Isaiah House, and Santiago Canyon College.
We hope you can kick-off the season of giving with us! RSVP's are required by Friday (11/22) at noon.
