Jewish American journalists have made significant contributions to society through broadcast journalism. They are known for their talent as interviewers, their ability to report the news, and their subtle use of Jewish values in their profession. Learn about their contributions to one of the fundamental principles of our democracy - freedom of the press. Our presenter will highlight the stories of a few of the many distinguished Jewish journalists such as Barbara Walters, Ted Koppel, Jake Tapper, Wolf Blitzer, Charles Krauthammer and Mike Wallace.
Presenter: Dr. Heloiza Herscovitz, a veteran trilingual journalist, a researcher and professor at the Department of Journalism and Public Relations at California State University, Long Beach. She teaches news writing, global news media and literary journalism.
