Friday, July 8, 8:00 p.m. “Elie Wiesel: The Soul of the Jewish People” will be Rabbi Rachlis’ topic at services when he dialogues with Chapman University Chancellor Daniele Struppa about the late author’s influence on Jews, people of all faiths, literature and humanitarian crises around the world. Nobel Peace winner Elie Wiesel visited Chapman University annually to lecture for a week to students, faculty and the community and Chancellor Struppa (soon to be Chapman’s new President) will share personal stories about Wiesel and his influence on him as will Rabbi Rachlis.
