2014 Mensch of the Year

Gideon Bernstein

Gideon Bernstein Mensch of the Year

Every year, Solomon Society awards the Mensch of the Year to someone who leads by example, is involved “behind the scenes” and serves “beyond the call of duty.”

Solomon Society is proud to honor Gideon Bernstein as Mensch of the Year 2014.  A founding member of Solomon Society, Gideon has enthusiastically supported all Solomon Society programs, participated in numerous Solomon Society men’s missions, and has been a co-chair of previous Late Night events.  He is a current member of the JFFS Board of Directors.

Gideon also serves as President of the Board of the Jewish Community Foundation of Orange County. During his tenure as President of the Foundation, Gideon has established the “Create a Jewish Legacy” program, through which community members are invited to sign the Book of Life when they commit to creating a legacy for our community.  Thanks to Gideon’s leadership, our community organizations and congregations will be enhanced l’dor v’dor, from generation to generation.
