Our mission:  to help seniors to live healthy, independent lives; maintain social relationships; and stay connected to their community.

JFFS provides a comprehensive array of services for older adults that address their practical, emotional, physical and spiritual needs. We work with seniors and their family members in the home, in our Irvine offices, in residential living communities or at one of our outposts in Laguna Woods and Anaheim. 

The JFFS Helpline – 949-435-3460 – is your gateway to older adult services.  It is open during business hours, 9:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 9:00am through 1:00pm on Fridays.  The Helpline connects seniors and their family members with information, referral and consultation and troubleshooting on issues that arise with respect to the changing needs of older adults.  You can also use the links below to learn more about our services:

  • Care Management and Consultation ensures that seniors are connected to the support services necessary to live safely at home and enjoy the best possible quality of life.
  • Holocaust Survivor Social Services include case management, subsidies, reparations assistance and Café Europa monthly social programs.
  • Silver Streak Transportation  – via bus, taxi, or volunteer driver -- keeps individuals over 60, and people with disabilities, connected to Orange County life 
  • Counseling and Support Groups help older adults address life issues and challenges.
  • Active Living - we offer mobility and fitness classes, healthy living workshops, fitness excursions connected with low-income housing communities, and more.
  • Bereavement Support Groups help older adults who are mourning a loss.
  • Caregiver Support Groups provide support to family members caring for a loved one.

 

Memory in Motion

1st and 3rd Friday each month @ 10:00am-11:30am

This new bi-weekly group provides support and education to individuals diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or another early stage dementia, and their care partners. Learn about available treatments, make plans for the future, and develop techniques for coping with changes, while remaining hopeful and positive. RSVP: nadine@jffs.org or 949-435-3460

Loving Living Alone

2nd and 4th Monday each month @ 1:00pm-2:00pm

This is a new, bi-weekly group for older adults who live alone, exploring such issues as cooking for one, keeping active, traveling alone, building new friendships and living a vital, meaningful and enriched life!  Free.  Facilitated by Nadine Durbach, MSW.
